i got used to the controls pretty quick. if you play games like this often with a controller then yeah i recommend you play with one instead, one less fix to download, too.
you should get a legit copy tho, the multiplayer part is a very fun part of the game, especially coop.

i died once and when I realized i couldn't beat the skeletons because they were too tough I ran away but I found a gigantic bird so I went the other way but the plot twist is that they cornered me and stunned me and chopped me so I wised up and stayed away

tbh dark souls was the most productive game to my state of mind I've ever played
