Citizens would go about business in El Manar, the markets had died down, the CCT side of the city would still be in ruins from all the fighting, however the once cramped ghettos were emptying, people seemed to be transferring to other cities.

If they were leaving to avoid C.C.T. jurisdiction, it would be to no avail, now that the Coalition didn't have to worry about thinned troops. The leaders of each city respectively would be asked to stand-down any armed forces and allow the C.C.T. in as government. If not, the cities roads in and out would be blocked off, as well as aircraft denying any ships to leave harbor, waiting until they fought or stood down.

El Manar.

Along vacant walls, some districts would start to notice posters being placed on the walls in old-school propaganda. Images of the American eagle whimpering and multiple other anti-U.S.C. images with various taglines, such as.

"The Alarei Threat is on THEIR hands.".

"1 in 10 U.S.C. soldiers go AWOL, if they won't fight for them, why should you?".

Of course as with most propaganda, these were either lies or distorted truths, merely to deliver a heavy message to the citizens of El Manar.

U.S.C-C.C.T. Border, Apartment Roofs.

As night fell and the border guards changed out, two figures would move along the rooftops, low to the ground as to not be revealed. Their body heat covered up by the clothing they wore, Type 426 Recon Armor they'd reach the edge of the rooftop, giving them a view over the U.S.C. side, their point of interest anything near the checkpoint. The burlier of the men would be carrying a Type 331 Gauss Sniper Rifle while the other carried a pair of advanced binoculars, they were obviously working to see what the U.S.C. had and who was in command.[/url]

"Right, look for anyone with stars or anyone who gets a salute, snap it and command will figure out the rest.".

[i]The sniper had broken the silence, he was there to ensure the safety of the spotter through counter-sniper work. After he had said this the spotter would nod and start scoping out the place.

"Lotta armour, don't blame them really.".

Anything of interest would be noted, they had enough supplies to stay up there and hidden until tomorrow's nightfall, during the day they'd move downstairs and use holes in curtains to observe the checkpoint further.

More and more Kotungans would approach CCT outfits, gradually phasing into civil services however one question kept arising, again and again, until almost everyone was asking

"Since youre in our home, when do we get transferred to YOUR home?"

El Manar
Checkpoint 'Alpha' Defense Zone

Strangely enough, there seemed to be no high-ranked officers near the checkpoint. The power-armoured troops were mostly enlisted and non-commissioned officers, with some Lieutenants and Captains directing the flow of units being repositioned in the area. It made sense; the commanding officer was probably too busy inside the bunker, dealing with the construction of the twenty-foot-tall wall that the workers seemed to be performing on the USC side of the checkpoint. Pre-fabricated walls were lowered to the ground by VTOLs, and the engineers connected them to the foundation they had established when the demilitarized zone was established.

Out of a sudden, numerous flares were fired at the night sky. An eerie blue glow covered the entire area with each detonation, but its purpose wasn't to illuminate enemy snipers; it was to provide visibility to the AH-12 Gunship that was coming in for a tight landing on the roof of the bunker.

The craft first appeared as a red dot on the night sky, re-entering the atmosphere violently. Once the re-entry process had been completed, it fired its retrothrusters and channeled all of its power to the inertial dampener, cutting down its speed severely and using thrust vectoring to set a heading for the landing pad. The retrothrusters fired again, bringing it to a slow hover right over the pad in an unimaginable feat of precision. At last, it could land. The landing gear extended, a set of magnetic skids, and it magnetically attached to the landing pad. The landing was complete, and the ramp opened.

A pair of Hellfire troops walked out, armed with fifty caliber battle rifles. After them, an older man in a plain battle dress uniform with URBPAT camouflage stepped out. Another officer, a younger Major by the looks of it, climbed the stairs to greet his superior.

"General Keystone, sir. Welcome to Checkpoint Alpha."

The two men exchanged a salute, shook hands and then moved into the building. The VTOL was refueled and launched again, accelerating to orbit.

The two snipers would observe the General. Making small talk between themselves as he sets down. The feed would go straight into the bunker for intelligence officers to observe. The Hellfire troops would also be noted down, classified as heavy infantry. The rooftops would be sweeped again for any counter-sniper threats from the U.S.C.

"Surprised no one has taken a pot shot yet.".

The spotter would chuckle, not giving a response.

Deity.

Traffic was finally starting to slow down at Deity, troops had been dispatched to checkpoints throughout the city, new Daimler Multi-Role Gunships were present on the runway, pilots going through retraining for the new models.

Kotungan Orbit.

As if by cue, the C.C.T.'s orbital reinforcements would enter the system. Greatly increasing the number of craft in orbit and perhaps shifting the advantage to the Coalition. The extra ships would set themselves around fifteen kilometers from their allies. A cause for concern for any respectable admiral.

USS Hastings, SCVN-85
Combat Information Center

An hour had passed since the Hastings and its fleet had finally stepped down to Condition 2, giving the crews the time they needed to rest, but with several precautions. All weapons remained at full power, and the nuclear warheads were kept in the tubes and ready to launch with a few simple orders. The battleships took shifts going to condition one, ensuring the fleet was protected from the CCT reinforcements that were expected to jump in at any moment. The combat air patrol had been reduced to two squadrons, with a further two on endo-atmospheric escort missions. Nevertheless, fighters had been kept in the tubes, and their fighters waited on high alert. It was tense, and Admiral Shaw hated it.

At last, the RADAR screen beeped out in a frantic pace. The petty officer in charge of sensors yelled out, in a more coherent form than the device.

"Multiple contacts, reading CCT identification! Two battleships, four frigates! They are entering formation!"

A deep sigh escaped the Admiral. This more or less evened the odds, although the USC's fighter squadrons still greatly outnumbered the CCT's twenty to one. The anti-fighter weapons were the main concern for her.

"Alright, break's over folks. Action stations!"

The familiar klaxons echoed throughout the ship, along with the announcer's voice. The gun safeties were released, and the pilots raced to their fighters in a desperate attempt to launch before the CCT tried to mount an offensive.

"Launch alert fighters to reinforce the CAP, keep the reserves in the tubes for now. Order all batteries to switch to salvo mode and load high-explosive armor-piercing rounds one-to-one. I want firing solutions, and I want them now!"

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sixteen squadrons of fighters and bombers were launched from the USC fleet, assuming a defensive formation around it. The utility transports that had been placing various satellites in orbit ceased their work and jumped out within seconds after recovering their EVA crews, joining the support ships in the middle of the USC formation. The USC was outnumbered, but evidently, not outgunned: the fighters outnumbered the CCT's squadrons twenty-to-one, and the fleet packed enough ordinance to scorch a planet's surface in as long as it took it to complete a full equatorial orbit.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

El Manar

The snipers didn't really have much to think about. A laser dot was placed right in front of them from the shadows, making sure they got the point: USC snipers knew their position, and were giving them a chance to retreat, either out of respect for their fellow warriors or because their orders had told them to do so. While the USC sniper corps weren't known for being the stealthiest, they were known for their overkill: fifty caliber anti-materiel rifles were the service standard, after all.

El Manar.

The spotter would glance over first, spotting the red dot. His heart would jump a beat and he'd go completely still. Whispering for the sniper to hear.

"Arnim, look to your right.".

The sniper would slowly move his neck to see the dot. Smiling weakly"Atleast they're good at their jobs.". then nodding across at the spotter. Who would take off his glove and place so the laser rested over the palm, a old tradition dating back to the civil war. Before the two fell back into the building. Descending down to the ground floor and departing through the alleys back to their vehicle.

Kotungan Orbit.

Admiral Daud would rub his forehead after the jump into the system, even after twenty five years in the Coalitions navy he'd never gotten use to the jumps. He stretched his arm as a sensory officer ran from his post to the Admiral.

"Sir the U.S.C. ships are powering up weapons, should we establish communications?".

The Admiral would promptly nod, making his way to the communications officers workspace, taking the transmitter from his hand as a message was broadcast on all channels, so anyone listening in could hear.

"U.S.C. forces stand down, we are not here looking for a fight. Only to protect our interests in the planet. I repeat, we are not engaging you.".

Nothing but AA would be activated, the original fleet following suit as well. After a few minutes of silence from the Coalition side, Daud's voice would go through once more.

"We would like to invite the leader of your ground forces as well as your admiral for talks on the surface, or one of our craft if you would prefer.".

+"Demilitarized zone in one hour. Be there."+

The communications link was shut afterwards, with the USC fleet remaining at high alert. Evidently, the collection of warships wasn't willing to risk being caught with its pants down, and so all weapons were kept powered up in salvo fire mode. The fighters continued their patrols around the fleet, supplementing the point defenses of the massive battleships and capitals. In the meantime, the support fleet resumed its operations, although at a much more cautious pace.

The Admiral would nod towards the Vice-Admiral, who'd immediately move to take his place leading the bridge. Daud would leave and take the elevator down to the hangar. Within a few moments the Admiral would've departed, heading for Deity to meet with the leader of Ground-Forces.

Checkpoint 'Holbach'.

Within fifteen minutes the two men would be waiting, present in the bunker. The communication device supplied before would be called.

"We are ready.".

USS Hastings, SCVN-85
Combat Information Center

"Time to go then... Tell the CAG to have a Raptor prepped and ready for me at the hangar deck, along with a security escort. XO, you have the conn."

"Aye ma'am, I have the conn. Chief of the Watch, note the time in the ship's log."

"Aye aye, XO has the conn. Current altitude from Kotunga is thirty-six thousand kilometers, speed is three point zero seven kilometers per second. Currently in a geostationary orbit above Malverdi. Orbital eccentricity negligible."

Admiral Shaw and the executive officer shared a brief salute, and then she immediately departed with her marine guards. It was standard procedure above USC warships for the commanding officer to always have two Marines with him, and she was no exception. In the event that the ship was boarded, or there was an emergency, her safety was of the utmost importance: the chain of command had to be maintained.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hangar Deck 02-A

"Atten-hut! Commander of Hastings, departing."

At the prompt of the chief of the deck, the hangar crew saluted the Admiral as she stepped on the Raptor gunship. A second later, she returned it crisply, lowering her hand afterwards. The rest of the crewmen did the same and returned to their work while the gunship's hatch sealed, and the magnetic rails on the floor activated to guide the heavy-duty craft to the launch elevators. Once there, the magnetic clamps attached the craft to the elevator and the lift begun its ascent. It didn't take long for it to be placed on the landing deck, and it used a short RCS burst to take off, followed by a burst in the opposite direction to stabilize. Then, it simply fired up its main drive and begun its approach to the planet below.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Checkpoint 'Alpha'

At the same time that the CCT officials arrived at Holbach, Admiral Shaw and General Keystone had entered the small communications chamber of the Checkpoint Alpha bunker. The device had been first scanned with everything the USC could scan it with, and then some, and then hooked up to a non-networked computer system to allow for direct control using USC interfaces. At last, the speaker was activated, and the link to the CCT side was established.

"This is Admiral Shaw, commanding officer of the fleet in orbit. I have General Keystone with me. Who am I speaking to?"

KOTPERI Track.

The abandoned race-track was about to see new life, truck after truck would pull into the old lots, accompanied by a small military escort. Any Kotungans who had signed up at the workers offices would've been shipped off for the job at hand. Foremen would hand out tools, the track was being dismantled and the metal going towards the Coalitions war machine. The task was big and wouldn't be done in any short time, but work had started under the governments eye.

Coast of Solomon.

The two Type 2's hovered over the rough sea, inching closer and closer until their landing gear was essentially in the water. The cargo doors would drop down and the contents would roll out, two Type 62-A's the heavy APC's redesigned for amphibious use deploying from each drop ship. Once their engines had started and they bobbed around in the sea, the Type 2's would lift off and head back for El Manar. The APC's would then start their way towards the shore, having easily enough fuel to make the trip, as well as travel further inland. The landing zone had been chosen carefully, uninhabited and far from any villages. The APC's started to disembark then, totalling at fourty-five men standing on the beach as well as the four APC's. They were power-armored shock troops, a precursor for things to come. The officers of the soldiers would converse between themselves the mission at hand. Two armored vehicles and a squad would head North straight to the RZ and dig in for the rest of the troop. The remainder would travel to the nearby oil fields and destroy the collection units, to prevent the U.S.C. from taking the resources should they enter the region, giving the C.C.T. more time to prepare their plans. After fifteen minutes the two forces would depart, heavily armored and armed, moving quick for their destinations.

El Manar.

Ration suppliers would be set up now, offering a free ration pack a day, which included nutrient food, drink as well as small package of C.C.T. credits, to start introducing them. Coalition run stores which sold basic necessities would be run also, a form of work for the citizens. New posters and forms of propaganda would also circulate, claiming Fuego a criminal and crediting him for the nuclear devastation of Malverdi. Workers would also be starting to fix the city center of El Manar, which had been affected by a Tungsten strike. Centers would also be set up, giving large credit refunds for the handing in of weapons. And medical hospitals would be set up in defunct buildings, for now they were simple but it was eventually going to come around to modern standard past a few medics with basic supplies. And last but not least, the transfer papers for other Coalition planets were available from most checkpoints.

C.C.T. and U.S.C. communications.

The Field Marshall would shake his head, he didn't care about favour, if an attempt on the other sides commanders life was made it wouldn't make a difference, this needed to be personal as serious matters for the planets future were going to be brought up.

"A neutral meeting zone will not be needed, if you're unwilling to come over here we are perfectly fine with going over there.".

Coast of Solomon
Hastings Assault Cobra 118, Callsign 'BB' - Green Goblin Squadron Actual
Mission: Border Patrol

"Goblin Actual, this is Three. Are those what I think they are?"

"Five here, I am picking up CCT units on LIDAR. They have crossed the border and are heading for our coast, please advise."

"Actual to all Goblins, break formation and split into pairs. I'll contact the Flagship and find out what the hell is going on."

That was just what Captain Gina 'BB' Sykes needed: more of the CCT's shenanigans. Now that they apparently had a massive fleet in orbit, it seemed that they decided to just skip the formalities and jump straight to a counter-attack on the USC-occupied continent of Solomon. With Kotunga split into two, it was pretty easy to tell what belonged to who: the CCT was not moving to Solomon by accident, obviously. Lacking the authority to commence a strike on her own, BB patched herself to the Hastings' communications.

"Hastings Actual here, go ahead Goblin."

"Colonel, sir. We have CCT forces landing on Solomon, fourty plus shock troops plus armor. Looks like an incursion, they are staging on the shore. Requesting instructions."

There was a long pause. With the Admiral ashore, the Executive Officer had been left in charge of the group. Firing at the CCT troops was the right call to make to protect USC interests, but at the same time, it was a big decision for a non-Flag officer to make. After a few moments of deliberation, the reply came through.

"Goblin Actual, you are cleared to engage. Commence airstrike on discretion. Hastings over and out."

There it was. BB checked her sensor screen again to make sure it was displaying properly, and then shut off the air-to-space communications system. Instead, she connected back to the squadron's internal radio.

"All Goblins, reduce to Mach zero point three, shut down supercruise. Lock wings to missile deployment position and stand by for target coordinates. Follow my lead."

The intense and unmistakable sound of aircraft approaching at supersonic velocities echoed throughout the landing zone of the CCT forces, but it soon stopped, reduced to just the sound of jets; in the distance, a whole squadron of Assault Cobras from the Hastings would be seen approaching, their wings extending to expose the myriads of missile launcher pods underneath.

"Target coordinates dialed in... Commence attack run."

The roaring of minigun fire filled the area as the fighters reduced their altitude to a minimum, unleashing their 12.7mm and 40mm assault cannon fire against the CCT APCs and personnel. The CCT had made a great mistake trying to invade Solomon without air support, and they were now paying the price. Several AGM-228 'Hades' Air-to-Ground missiles were launched during the same run, detonating in massive thermite clouds on impact to the ground. With their attack run complete, the fighters returned to a higher altitude, assessing the damage.

Solomon coast.

As the jets raised they would be able to see what damage they had done, one of the APC's was already a wreck, smoke rising from the remains of the hull, which had been split by one of the missiles. The second's entire right side would be devoid of a wheel section, disabling it the same goes for the third, which had it's engine knocked out. The fourth would be active though, swinging it's turret around so the heavy radial mount machine gun could take pot shots at anything else coming in. Bodies of shock troops would be found around the beach, either scattered by explosions or in the unlucky case of some, direct 12.7mm hits. The majority of the infantry however would be up and active, taking ten losses. They'd make their way into the jungle, counting on the thick tangle of trees and uneven dents in the earth as cover. Once they had set up in scattered positions they'd sit and listen for the jet engines again as they sounded off. They wished they had jets of their own, but they were just a shock force, jets wouldn't add to a element of surprise.

"Someone get me a fleet pack!".

One of the Lieutenants had shouted for the orbital communications device, about the size of a notebook computer. They needed to get the fleet to contact the U.S.C. and put the mis-information through. Within a second he would be handed the device and he'd send his message to the fleet.

"This is Jörmungandr One, U.S.C. ground attack aircraft intercepted, casualty count, two armored vehicles disabled, one destroyed, one operational, ten men KIA. Requesting immediate evacuation by any means, feed the U.S.C. document 44A. Over.".

The squad would go quiet, waiting for the response, which would soon crackle in and feed through.

"Copy Jörmungandr, they're being sent it now. Dig in and await Type 2 extraction, destroy all armored vehicles.".

The Lieutenant would nod to two soldiers, who'd dig around in their packs and take the large blocks of explosives in their hands, designed to destroy the oil wells. They would jog out to the beach, quickly sticking the bombs to the ammo racks of the auto-cannons, then retreating back to the forest. Setting up their detonators and destroying the APC's.

Fleet Communications Center.

Since the message had gone through, the document was being sent to the U.S.C. it was a simple text based message for them. Reading out as follows.

"C.C.T. forces on Solomon were tracking a lead of Fuego, considering the diplomatic barriers between the Cleansed Territories and your nation, we found that evidence the process for lawful entrance to Solomon would take too long and we would miss our window. The C.C.T. gives it's apologies for the actions it undertook, forces will be withdrawn now.".

USC/CCT Border.

Now that they had the green light, within ten minutes a escort would be made up. It would consist of a squad of Gestapo Sturmtruppen numbering around five, armed with Type 99 Submachine Guns the checkpoint gate would open slowly, two storm-troopers stepping out-first. Once it had been deemed safe, well as safe as open ground being overlooked by snipers could be, the two commanding officers would step out. First the Field Marshall who would seem to be in his late thirties or early forties, dark brown hair tucked underneath the cap, which bore the Lion of the C.C.T's flag. After him would come the Admiral who was into his early sixties, the Dragon of the C.C.T's flag stitched into his hat. They'd cross the no mans land towards the checkpoint, waiting for the door to open.

Coast of Solomon
Hastings Assault Cobra 118, Callsign 'BB'

"Actual, this is Six. Got the damage assessment now, one vehicle destroyed, two disabled. They are trying to fire back, but there's no way these machineguns can hit us at this altitude and with this speed. Twenty-five percent enemy casualty rate."

Hades missiles weren't that accurate; in fact, their thermite cloud was very prone to scattering due to the weather, rendering it useless. Sometimes, the thermite just failed to ignite due to low temperatures. Others, it ignited prematurely, before the cloud could spread enough to make it an incediary and not an explosive weapon. If anything, the Cobra pilots had been lucky that the missiles had detonated at all. The design dated back to the 22nd century, and despite the Air Force's many attempts, no suitable replacement had been found.

BB sighed deeply into the microphone, beginning to turn the fighter around for another attack run. They had to get the targets neutralized, and fast.

"Actual to all Goblins... Switch to AGM triple threes, use of microscale nuclear weapons is authoris- Stand by..."

Luckily, the communications system beeped. BB's Cobra was being hailed by the Flagship; hopefully, she wouldn't have to nuke the poor souls down on the surface.

"Goblin Actual here."

"Goblin, this is Hastings Actual. Stand down, the CCT is sending an extraction team to get their men out. If it looks like they are instead trying to ibject reinforcements into the area, you are cleared to engage again."

"Acknowledged, Actual."

"Hastings over and out."

The fighter craft retracted their nuclear missiles back into the bays and sealed their wings to a secure position, followed shortly by starting a circling formation around the area. They seemed to have stopped firing, for the moment.

USC/CCT Border

A smaller blastdoor opened up, so as to not waste the electricity and time opening the vehicle gate, and a squad of conventionally armored Marines stepped through. They were armed with the USC's standard issue G17 Battle Rifle, and their uniforms were camouflaged in a digital urban pattern made mostly out of white, gray, black and shades of blue. They carefully escorted the CCT envoys inside, and the door sealed behind them. They were quickly lead to the central bunker, a structure with 3-foot-thick walls and defensive batteries all over the place, and after a quick sterilization sequence were allowed inside.

A short woman in a Navy Service Uniform stood behind the central command table, with her dark hair kept in a short ponytail. Two golden stars adorned her shoulder pads, indicating that she was a Rear Admiral. A Marine in a MARPAT4 Digital Camouflage BDU with a Brigadier General's stars was standing next to her; probably the Marine commander.

[003,0K] Kotunga - Page 12 Empty Re: [003,0K] Kotunga

Solomon coast.

After a tension filled six minute wait, two Type 2's would be visible beelining for the beach head, once they were a couple hundred meters out they'd raise their noses and flare. Slowing them down considerably. They'd turn and lower their ramps. The forces would load up, moving to get the hell out as soon as they could. The Type 2's would lift off once loaded up and move back to the Eastern held Kotungan side.

USC Bunker.

The Field Marshall would observe his surroundings, smiling across at the USC leaders. Offering his hand to shake and stepping forward.

"Alright, set this area up, it's up to us to get it started, stop sitting around, be quick!"

It was the reminants of Malverdi's Kotungan attackforce, they had managed to motor the whole way around the top of Solomon to Crestmore.

Charge Sergeant Crawley, was now in affirmed command of the majority of the Malverdian Remnant army.

"Sergeant, what are you orders!"

"Get the United States of Amratica on the horn, give them all the info we have, and someone get in contact with"

"Do you mean America Sir?"

"Yes, yes I do."

Coast of Solomon
Hastings Assault Cobra 118, Callsign 'BB'

"CCT forces have been evacuated, Actual. Requesting orders."

"Hastings Actual to Goblin. Mission accomplished, return to combat air patrol."

"Acknowledged Actual. Goblins returning to CAP, over and out."

And with that, the communications link to the supercarrier was closed. After entering a new set of coordinates, or more precisely, a new patrol path into the flight computer, BB broadcast it to the rest of her squadron and begun to prepare the aircraft for supercruise mode. The wings were retracted backwards with the help of the hydraulic systems, and after their magnetic locks had been secured, the fighters made a swift turn towards the north.

"All Goblins, this is BB. Return to combat air patrol, stand by for supercruise. Mach three."

It didn't take much longer for the entire area to be covered in supersonic booms, and the fleet of twenty-two aircraft continued along with its patrol of the USC-CCT border.

USC/CCT Border

The chamber itself was large, occupying almost a fourth of the bunker's volume. Dozens of operators manned the various consoles and screens, but seemingly, they were staring at just bright white displays: no information was readable from them, and there seemed to be no pictures, no colours, nothing. Just pure white.

Of course, it would also be easy to notice that all the operators were wearing glasses, an unusual appearance in the 24th century. With laser eye surgery, nanobot treatments or simply contact lenses available, nobody usually used glasses to counteract vision problems. One or two exceptions were to be expected, but not an entire room full of them.

The Admiral shook the Marshall's hand firmly, keeping eye contact the whole time. The General followed, mimicking his superior's moves; he didn't seem to be in a really big mood to talk, but he was enduring the situation. After the handshakes were complete, the Admiral got straight to business.
"Marshall. To what do we owe the visit?"

The Marshall would keep in good will, same as the Admiral. Sperrle taking a moment before speaking.

"Well I'll be brief, I'm here to discuss what happens with Kotungas future. As we can tell, neither you nor us are willing to leave and demand a stake as much as the other. Therefore, to protect our interests, I feel we should sign a pact, that if Kotunga comes under assault from a third party, our forces will ally to repel the invaders. Of course there is more to discuss, but this should be put out of the way first.".

He'd raise his hand and look over his shoulder, a stormtrooper handing him a piece of paper. The Marshall handing it to the, titled the "Daud Act.". It would state just as he said, signing both parties to come to the others aid in war for Kotunga and Orbit, in the event that happened, but not any place past that. Limiting it's work as a alliance.

"We agree, and are actually pleasantly surprised that you would begin this session of negotiations with a treaty that will ensure the defense of both sides of Kotunga from alien invasions. There is, however, something my government would like to address at the same time: the fact that both of our fleets are in orbit, and ready to duke it out at any moment. The United Systems believes that if the people of Kotunga are to move to a new age of prosperity, they have to do so without the threat of orbital strikes from either side. As such, and with the Alarei threat demanding the attention of both our fleets, the United Systems moves that no armed military vessel be allowed within point one astronomical units from Kotunga unless both sides agree to it."

The Admiral wasn't so fond of the idea of spending the rest of her life in orbit of Kotunga; in fact, the United Systems fleet had much better things to be doing, such as hunting down the Alarei or defending Sanctuary and Earth from a potential attack. Hopefully, the CCT had the same concerns.
