On the CCT side of El Manar, and Kotunga, the people were enjoying life, things were coming shortly after co-operation, transfers around the country were possible, life had never been so good, as long as you stayed in line things were fine, barfights, underground night clubs, the odd assassination, it was still common, but it was calm, as long as the Kotungans didn't get rowdy with the regime, the town was theirs, and they liked it, they liked the underground control, its news had spread across the galaxy, and within a few weeks of CCT occupation underground drug trade, the flow of Kotungan cash - the Kotokwacha, had spiked into the underground rings, clearing it with most CCT establishments on the bank, police turned a blind eye and within the first three weeks the CCT side of the city was really starting to see the benefits of underground crime finance, neon pink bar signs, welcoming CCT soldiers for discounted prices combined with general public love of their oppressors, the fact that the CCT didn't really have any problem with the people as long as they weren't trying to overthrow them gave the populace a feeling of a caring government, even if that wasn't the case.

On the US side of the city however things were changing, the populace was becoming rousing and in certain neighbourhoods such as Carnooti and Jarando gangland warfare was spiking out of control, one thing both nations overlooked was the growth of organised crime, and it was taking it toll.

His breathing was raspy inside the mask, he didn't like it, neither did his platoon, nevertheless they exited the warm confines of the bunker. Snow, in Malverdi, on the docklands, he never thought he was see the day. These lands used to be docklands, but now they were nothing, these patrols of soldiers leaving their bunkers simply to check new areas out would pop up as the day went on, almost as if a signal had gone out.

The Marshall would nod, he'd look back to the admiral, seeing as space was not his forefront and he only handled the army present. Thinking for a moment the admiral would speak.

"I believe each side should leave a force capable of defending Kotunga, until we can move for orbital defenses to be transferred, a ship from both sides should stay present, at the range you specified. Once the defenses are emplaced, the ships can return to their battle-groups.".

The admirals offer was up, the Marshall adding in.

"And considering the threat the Alarei pose, Kotunga as a strategic position should be considered, a refueling plant for fleets aimed against the Alarei.".

Building Office of Kotunga, El Manar.

The office had been hastily set up soon after the East and West sides had been split, it was the old . The race was on for a happier populace than the other, and with the resources and nearby land the C.C.T. was fighting hard to win. So a new idea was propositioned by the board, all of whom were Kotungan, supervised by a trades officer at first, due to resource limits. The idea was a resort in the Kono Lowlands, repairing the already present holiday spots and modernizing it. And all to cater to citizens of a Coalition Kotunga. Workers had already been dispatched to repair the half-finished skyscrapers, as well as anything destroyed in the fighting. Resources were being pulled from the old facilities set up before Fuego's attempted rebellion.

Canoofaqee Heartland.

The relative peace of the flat-land would be disrupted by the sound of a wailing jet engine. A Type 2 would be flying low across the tree tops, circling around and looking for a form of life. The C.C.T was expanding out of the coastal areas it seemed, probably looking for more agricultural land.

The Kono Lowland's resorts were old, but typical human cities were just waiting to be modernized, it was a scorching hot holiday resort, the people of this city, Korben, were eager to see any modernization, its beaches were ready, its wildlife was colorful and its fauna was lush, the perfect place to catch waves and score babes.

With the rapid repairs going up, companies that came for KOTPERI would stay around in some of the cities, property deals were going down and while civilian consumerism went up. Changes that were going on before the US occupation were continuing and spiking under the competition, the CCT side flourished as citizens over the course of week opened their own businesses by literally claiming street territory. Regulated Markets made deals easy and business well balanced. The bright lights of the CCT side would be seen from the US district and street fires weren't even common anymore.

On the US side however, surprisingly, things hadn't gone to plan, most police had sold their uniforms or made them into curtains, nobody seemed to wanted to hand in their weapons and they were closed in, one district wasn't big enough for this group used to freedom of movement, that and a large chunk of rioters were away from home, locked behind a wall, it was at 5 o'clock that the people led a march, some police officers and others, the "March on the wall" was a freedom protest, demanding to be let into CCT town.

"We can not spare a combat vessel, but we will reassign a ballistic missile cruiser to the task; its ISBM storages should be enough to deter an invasion, and the captain will be authorised to use nuclear weapons at his discretion without needing to acquire approval from our President first." Although there was obvious reasoning to put an ISBM-armed cruiser near Kotunga, to provide a deterrent for any races that wished to attack the planet, there was also a more subtle explanation: the USC didn't want to waste an entire battlegroup guarding the planet, and its military doctrine demanded that no ship should ever leave its battlegroup unless its very survival, or the survival of the United Systems demanded it. The threat of nuclear annihilation would most likely be enough to stop the CCT from getting any thoughts of trying to assault western Kotunga.

The Marshall would nod in agreement. Glancing back behind him at the Stormtroopers, who hadn't moved since they entered.

"We understand, a Type 44 will remain in orbit until our anti-naval guns are emplaced by both sides, then it'll leave the system. This was our main concern, I'm sure our ground forces will be able to handle any planet-side threats. Perhaps dual training operations? Oh and we'll need to work on the radiation left over due to Admiral Merciers actions.".

The Marshall had added the last request in a attempt to show off the army the Coalition had to field, which was highly advanced seeing as most of the Coalitions research had gone into planet-side warfare, not space combat.

"Anything you would like to discuss while we're here?".

USS Hastings, SCVN-85
Combat Information Center

"Conn, QCS, incoming emergency action message, recommend alert one, repeat, recommend alert one!"

"Alert one, alert one, incoming emergency action message! Alert one, alert one, incoming EAM!"

And yet another crisis to deal with; the executive officer waited patiently at the command table, tapping his fingers against the map display in a manner that could best be described as nervous. The past few days had been host to a number of significant events, including an attack on Sanctuary, the occupation of Kotunga, the Kal'Bavakorian crisis and several smaller incidents across the galaxy; the Alarei threat was arguably the most important of the situations, but the others were nevertheless enough to trigger his sense of paranoia. What would be next? Another attack on Earth? The CCT preparing for nuclear war? The destruction of Sanctuary? An attack on the diplomatic meeting?

The worst case scenarios circled in his head as the communications officer passed him the printed Emergency Action Message.

...EMERGENCY...ACTION...MESSAGE...

FROM: NATIONAL MILITARY COMMAND CENTER, BATTLESTATION SANCTUARY (BSN-11)
TO: USS HASTINGS (SCVN-85), SBG-22

SUBJECT: RESPONSE TO DISTRESS SIGNAL

REMARKS:
  1. DISTRESS SIGNAL FROM THE USS RHODE ISLAND (SSRN-177) WAS RECEIVED BY NMCC
  2. NAKAR VESSEL DETECTED, IDENTIFIED AND CONFIRMED AT GRID J14
  3. RHODE ISLAND SUCCESSFULLY ESCAPED
  4. JUMP TO GRID J14
  5. CAPTURE NAKAR VESSEL FOR INTERROGATION OF CREW
  6. AVOID ENGAGEMENT WITH LOCALS. PEACEFUL CONTACT IS A PRIORITY.

Now that was marginally better than what he expected; a single Nakar ship, although the fact that the Nakar had survived the nuclear holocaust brought upon them was worrying. A single race escaping extinction was a statistical anomaly. A second was trouble. But there was no time to spare; the ship had to be captured before it had a chance to make contact with anyone, and that demanded the best from the crew of the Hastings.

"Commence FTL, set condition one throughout the fleet." he muttered out, his voice succeeded by a chorus of orders being barked out by the various officers inside the Combat Information Center. Soon enough, the confirmations started coming in.

"Spinning up FTL drives one and two!"

"Computer room reports a green board, commencing calculations now!"

"All decks report condition one, we are ready for combat!"

"Weapons grid online, targeting systems initialised!"

"Hangar deck reports green board, alert fighters are ready for launch! Reserves are being loaded now!"

"Actually, on the subject of joint- Hold on a second."

The Admiral suddenly paused; she seemed to be listening to something, most likely the earpiece she was wearing to stay in touch with the supercarrier in orbit of the planet. After a few seconds of waiting, she extended her hand towards the CCT representatives for a final handshake; she had to go, and urgently.

"I am afraid I will have to depart now, a distress signal has been received by the Hastings. I am sure the General can help you iron out any joint training operations; rest assured, we wish only for peace between our two nations. "

The Marshall and Admiral would shake, the Field Marshall would nod and speak.

"A shame, atleast you were able to witness some of the diplomatic decisions.".

After she had left, the Marshall would continue, talking solely for the General now.

"I believe we should train to fight the roving pirates of Kotungas sea's, port securing, the like.".

BUNKER-1 Code name: God

As the paper jostled nastily out of the machine the lieutenant ripped it off the printer and walked out of his office, he walked down the corridor, past rows of soldiers and opened keyed in the code to the doors of the general. The door released its lock, and came up to another terminal, after entering 5 codes and opening 5 doors, 1 scanner came out of the wall, then the final airlock opened.

He had entered the General's Segment, Malverdian top brass was everywhere, on sofas, in rooms, it resembled an old human police station, oak furnishings, the odd plant, navy blue carpet, on the outside it was rimmed with steel, however this segment ran on 5 separate life support systems.

Many men were on comms systems, communicating with forward posts, with hard line telephones, and the very odd time, Soloman.

Soloman: Crestmore

"Shh Shh, move it, move it! We'll make infantry out of you yet militia!"

It was Crawley, over the past few weeks he had dispersed far and wide, radioing back to Crestmore single words to describe areas they were at and if they had placed what they were meant to place.

These militia were far from boys now, while their faces were young, they were environmentally hardened, lifting more that any regular in the Malverdian army, not to sport that they could, but because they had to, they didn't have the bodies to carry everything evenly. Their shots became more than accurate, hunting the wildlife of Solomon, afterall, every militiaman was still promised a bar of solid gold upon surviving this mess.

El Manar - Congo District "The In-Zone"

The district itself was a giant club, people dancing on the streets, alchohol was consumed, brown-brown was snorted, and zambizee was injected regular, Akuma Mondwellu was enjoying the scene, he and a few comrades were seated ontop the the burnt out caravan, a barrell fire between them, drinking and smoking.

The street party was huge, at least 3000 people were here, men raised their guns to the air and fired, there were 3 hog roasts and even the police were getting in on the action. Huge money transactions happened here, they knew they were going no-where, but they were damn well going to enjoy it.

"Akuma! Boy it been way too long what up with you!"

"Rickett Dog! I thought you were dead, what's happenin."

"Not much, I've been doin' the odd gunrun under the wall, ya'know."

Rickett throws a thumb over his shoulder and rolls his eyes.

"The white man, they really fucked it up here big time, and don't even get me started, I hear they're choosing the next Sanjaro!"

"Bullshit! What happened to Obi!"

"Word has it, Obi left to explore the stars with Donnie."

"You son, you be crazay, I have no time for these people, lets have some fun."

As the crowd got larger, the security response would start to escalate. Coalition forces would sit on the outskirts of the parties space, the streets leading in and out would be covered by a Type 528 and a fire-team of men. Flying very high up was a Type 2, cameras observing the crowd. Anyone who approached the soldiers in a drunken state, not wanting help but just being a nuisance would get one warning before getting zip tied, bagged and held for fifteen minutes before being released back into the crowd.

The soldiers were greeted with cheers, Akuma stood above the caravan and lazily pointed a bottle of suspicious brown liquid at the coalition forces.

"We would not be here, if it wasn't for them, you do not fuck wit de state? Am I right?"

He grins, then throws a bottle at the direction of Carnoti, a US district, the people cheer, soldiers are showered in items such as bread loaves and small house plants.

The Badlands - Central

Christoph Rekane walked down the smashed up street, it was anarchy, gunfire, rockets firing overhead, and this man had the tenacity to pimp the streets. Crime was everywhere, sniper fire shot inaccurately at his feet, nothing out of the ordinary, he went back into his den as the war was smashing overhead and all around.

"Christoph, this boy, he was stealing from you."

"End whut did he steal?"

"He stole a hammer and some nails, he says he's trying to get by."

"Let me see dis ba, I weel jugde him."

The black bag was lifted off the head of a boy roughly 7 years old, he was an infant but he had seen his fair share of atrocities.

"Why you steal from me boy?"

"I need the materials to build a shack for my family, please sir, please!"

"Ah, you steal to get by? You remind me of myself, howeva, you steal ma shit, kill dis little muddafucka."

"No plea-" *THUNK*

The child was forced to the floor and mercilessly beaten to death by 5 men much older than him with bats, pipes and wooden planks, Christoph Rekane kicked open the shanty shack and walked back outside, before the door closed all that was heard was.

"You there, you're mine, you work dey streets!"

The offers of bread and house plants would be turned down immediately, even if the soldiers accepted them it would just end up being confiscated by the NCO's. The roads would be kept clear to allow civilian and government vehicles through. The mainstay of roads in El Manar would be dump trucks carrying rubble from the city center and other buildings affected in the shellings. It was being taken out of the city and dumped, a lack of environmental care.

Badlands Center.

The hell-hole had been ignored up to now, but ultimately it needed to be gone to make way for the massive weapons testing ranges coming into use, one of the plans for Kotunga. Miles away from the actual city, the first of these sites were being set up. Prefabs making the way for control rooms and mobile HQ's parked in the desert on full display. Excavations were being made for underground facilities, not full pledged bunkers but they hid the inhabitants. Flying high above the center was a Type 2, on board were technicians, tapping away at the built in computers. Creating the missiles routes for the first test. The Type 168-X SPM, designed to launch four nuclear sized warheads over large distances, and in Kotungas case, a striking capability of anywhere on the planet in a highly mobile package, the actual missiles being launched only carried simulated payloads, the eventual nuclear missile being developed just for it would contain multiple anti-interception components, giving it the ability to avoid anti-missile systems and appear invisible on most detection systems.

"Tube One is loaded and primed sir, routes have come in from the spotting-craft. Able to fire on CO's command.".

His NCO patted him on the back before turning and ducking his head, leaving the trailer through the armored door. It was like a bulkhead, as if ripped from a nautical missile cruiser back home. The CO of the launcher was in the prefab, going over the outlaying region on local maps. As the NCO entered, he'd salute as the higher-ranked men raised their heads from the map. They'd keep quiet, waiting for him to speak.

"Sir, the first tube is primed and we're ready for the test. Should we wait for you?".

"No, launch it, I'll observe the second one.".

The NCO would nod, turn back, he'd re-enter the trailer and the process would go through. Within five minutes the missile would launch, with a five minute flight time, it would land just outside the center of the badlands, an explosion the size of a 20th century cruise missile.

[003,0K] Kotunga - Page 13 Empty Re: [003,0K] Kotunga

Coast of Solomon

An obnoxiously bright flash pushed away the darkness of the night sky for a few moments; the flash did not come from the surface, however. It came from above. Before long, the ear-wrecking sound of a vehicle approaching at supersonic velocities covered the entire region, and a massive fireball made its way through the sky: a ship entering the atmosphere, evidently. The fireball slowly decelerated rapidly as it approached the sea of Solomon, with a number of drag chutes and control surfaces deploying from its exterior to halt its controlled crash landing. It was no ordinary ship, however; the vehicle was almost as large as the USC's supercarriers, and judging by the power readings, had many times the electrical production capability and propulsion generation than its military counterparts.

With seconds to spare from colliding with the surface of the sea, a series of downward-facing thrusters fired, unleashing jets of superheated plasma towards the water; the coast was soon covered with steam as the water evaporated under the stress put on it from the thrusters, and the vehicle's descent was slowed down to a more manageable speed. It wasn't long before the metal and polymer hull of the capital-sized ship touched the boiling water, causing a massive splash; hot water poured down on the coast as if it was raining, and the ship begun to sink, its thrusters serving to control its dive underwater. By the time the landing gear touched the bottom, only the tower of the gargantuan vessel was visible above the water. But the relative peace didn't last for long...

Dozens, if nor hundreds of USC-branded air superiority drones emerged from underneath the water, commencing a dizzying patrol around the perimeter established by the ship. Shortly afterwards, bubbles begun to emerge from beneath the surface, bursting once they had reached it; the pieces were all coming together.

The USC was deploying one of its Hydrorigs, massive capital ships that were designed to mine the atmospheres of gas giants and the oceans of planets for the substances that moved the entire United Systems war machine: fusion fuel. The machines used a fission reaction to produce electricity, and then used said electricity to desalinate and electrolyse the water of the ocean, producing raw oxygen and hydrogen; the oxygen was a vital fuel for chemical rockets and for life support systems, while the hydrogen was one of the most common fusion fuels used by the Confederation, paired with deuterium. The gasses were then compressed at near-zero kelvin temperatures, placed into armoured canisters and fired at escape velocity using a railgun, allowing ships outside the planet's gravity well to collect them and send them back to Sanctuary for processing.

Of course, to Kotungans, the entire appearance of the ship was a mystery; they had no idea about what fusion was, nor that the USC planned to drain the planet's oceans to sustain its own industry. Anyone approaching the site to investigate would be instantly marked for termination by the combat drones that had been deployed, both in the form of humanoid war machines, tanks and aerial vehicles.

Solomon Oil Rigs

Mysteriously, the Kotungan oil rigs lost all contact with the surface, as if their were being outright jammed by a far superior communications system. But of course, the USC had given up on being subtle with its intentions; it was just going to rely on leaving no witnesses. The plan was simple: the folks back at Sanctuary needed oil to produce plastics, composites, medicine and other consumer and industrial products from, and Kotunga was rich in that specific resource. So what better way to acquire it than to hijack the oil rigs and blame the massacre on pirates, all the while allowing the megacorporations that had power in the Senate to take over? It was a win-win situation, according to the Senate; the USC got its oil, and the Kotungans didn't have to waste resources extracting it! Of course, nobody bothered to mention that the Kotungans had built the oil rigs; nobody cared, anyway.

An electromagnetic pulse sealed the fate of the workers. All electronic equipment was disabled, including lights and other methods of sending a distress message; the USC was determined to leave no witnesses, and to make the take-over as quiet as possible. By the time the gunships landed on the oil rigs, supposedly to repair the machinery, having blamed the disruption on CCT nuclear missile tests, the plan was already in motion. Instead of being greeted with technicians, the Kotungan operators found themselves facing the wrong side of a minigun. A Hellfire Squad was deployed, murdering anyone on each oil rig that didn't wear USC-branded power armor.

El Manar

The USC clearly wasn't in the mood for games; instead of taking the old-fashioned route of planting spies and infiltrating the criminal organisations, or trying to bring the police force back in action, it went for a far more effective, albeit controversial strategy. The next freighter from Sanctuary brought with it two hundred thousand General Robotics Mark VI Combat Drones, man-sized endoskeletons that interfaced with power armor to create the ultimate mechanical supersoldier. They felt no pain, no fear, and no remorse; their artificial intelligence on the personal level was minimal, and instead they relied on a 'hive mind' consciousness controlled from control centers in both Kotunga and the ships in orbit. Armed with both lethal and non-lethal weaponry, these robots were unleashed in the streets by the thousands, allowing them to put a quick end to crime throughout the city: anyone caught performing a crime was captured, and connected to a judge, jury, attorney and prosecutor using a portable tablet computer, which issued his trial in a very rapid and efficient fashion. There were a few public executions of murderers, rapists and leaders of criminal syndicates, to drive the point home that such actions were not going to be tolerated.

El Manar - Carnoti Meat Market

"LOOK AT WHAT IS GOING ON OUTSIDE, ARE YOU SEEING THIS?!"

"What DE FUCK, EES THIS, I TAUGHT DEY WAS FREEDOM FIGHTAS! GET MA MEGAPHONE! GET POLEYTICIANS! NAOW!"

Within a few hours the riotous crowd of Kotungans who were trapped in the US district of El Manar were once again in full swing, however this protest had no weapons, and it was clearly viable as they marched along the US section below the wall, but they'd be visible from the CCT side.

Bad boy Jones and his crew were dispersed in the crowd of men women and children, anyone who thought about bringing a weapon was threatened with death. One thing however was being screamed.
"SOS, CCT, SOS, CCT."

Leading the shouting was political activist Makron Jawaro, a rouge politician, he was shuffled from different hiding places and his word was mainly spoken on tape.

"Look at our lifestyle! It is a facade of the American dream, WE ARE NOT AMERICANS, We do NOT want this dream, we want FREEDOM, TRUE FREEDOM, AND YA GOTTA FIGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM! If our CCT brothers on the other side get this word, send note to the galaxy, we are being OCCUPIED, ENSLAVED BY AMERICA, MAKE THEM LEAVE!"

The crowd began marching its way toward the checkpoint.

Checkpoint Holbach.

As the word spread around that the U.S.C. Kotungans had started to riot and chant the Coalitions name, the only efforts undertaken was a bit more security on the borders. Mainly anti-personnel to stop any unruly criminals escaping the U.S.C. side trying to make it into C.C.T. territory. To prevent a heavy over-population of the C.C.T. side, they weren't prepared to 'liberate' the U.S.C. side, the most they could do was keep the speakers of Coalition propaganda updated, supporting their cause to abandon the false democracy.

F.O.B. Deity, The 'Manar' Room.

As the protests of the U.S.C. Kotungan population grew, the scenarios suggested called that the C.C.T. increased it's military-presence on it's side of the wall. Worried that anyone who was unsatisfactory with C.C.T. leadership may take the U.S.C. as a example and lead a protest, drones were dispatched amongst the sky, monitoring any hotspots just in case. Ground patrols of APC's and Type 528's would increase, patrolling around the more rowdier areas to show the populace who was boss.

F.O.B Deity, Nautical Control Center.

A mediocre sized room on the ground floor of the former-airports terminal. It was the luggage collection area a lifetime ago, now it was striped away, polished, and filled with computers and their screens. With the confirmation of a eventual five ship strong Nautical fleet within Kotungas atmosphere, the control center was hastily set up by technicians and the charting officers deployed with the first thousands of infantry would be shown in and given their stations. Once the first missile cruiser reached Kotunga, it would start sea patrols across the planet, claiming anti-piracy operations supported by the fleet in orbit and though they would hold to that, the main goal was more military intimidation directed towards the U.S.C.

Helious Coast.

As soon as it was learnt that the Helious Coast contained anti-orbital weapons, it steadily raised to the top of the concern list for the C.C.T. military, and after much interference from the political side of the Coalition, they were green-lit to assault the bunkers at first notice. A air attack, consisting of six Type 2 drop ships and a Luthfansa B-1 would drop the large force of infantry and armored vehicles in the North, which would travel down to take the bunkers, while drones and jets made strafing runs of any occupants and would be defenders and as a last resort, the attack was planned in co-ordination withe Tungsten, if the attack got bogged down in the trenches or fields, the rod would drop and devastate the defenders position.

[003,0K] Kotunga - Page 13 Empty Re: [003,0K] Kotunga

El Manar

A light tremor hits El Manar, people would feel minor seismic activity. In the same couple of hours, the badlands would swell, outer villages would see organisation. People in the cities of El Manar, USA districts are becoming disillusioned, while the US is trying to provide a comfortable lifestyle for the people, public opinion leans heavily towards resistance fighters in the area, some speculate El Manar has become a hub for badlands outer activity. The immense splash causes a tidal wave that creates irreparable damage to many small villages on the Solomon Coast, especially the tungsten rich islands of Northern Solomon. CCT nautical vessels find very little activity in the sea other than fishing boats. The Kotungan Diplomatic Union is set up, it's origin is unknown however it sends emissaries to both factions in El Manar, urging them to believe in the Kotungan Political Process, making points across that Kotunga should be ruled by Kotungans, and that the stabilizers of the USA and the CCT were no longer needed.

The Presidential Palace of El Manar was inhabited quickly by civilians, civilians are seen to be moving away from the badlands, El Fawsan see's a lot of trafficking activity. Civilian sightings of old-hat Havoc Terrorists teaching Kotungans how to once again fight with some specialization becomes a popular rumor, more police quit their jobs in El Manar and more and more Kotungans are seen trying to jury-rig police weaponry.

Badlands Shantytown

The cruise missile killed many innocent civilians in the badlands, central was a civil zone of shanties tying together mainly refugees and settlers from the coastal and pirate bays, the CCT did nothing but to anger the badlands civilians.

Utay - Rica

Slowly, like a spider weaving a web, were networks upon networks of linked cameras formed across Kotunga, it took the form the KTCNN, a news network, they operated illegally and used both hard line and short wireless range signals, the vans instilled black propaganda, while the jamming capabilities of the superpowers did not go un-noticed to this network, the ability to throw speakers into streets and hijack television networks came in very handy, the growing Kotungan state was very clearly taken advantage of, someone, somewhere, was always watching, and the newest faction to join the planetary war was created, the Kotungan Liberal Freedom Fighters, while the creation of this group itself was minor, the recurring shock factor it had was huge, it was a clear symbol that the old days had definitely restarted and the logical propaganda was taking its toll on the minds of the civilians, many questions were asked.

"If they promote freedom and democracy? Why are they here?"
"Who leads America? What do they want?"
"Could the CCT and America fight on Kotunga? Who would you side with?"
"Look at the evidence, do you want to be the next one nuked?"

"What will you do to save Kotunga?"

Malverdi - God Bunker

Fuego had continued expanding his bunker underground, each section was still blast locked with dynamite, deep underground, his once not so confident staff were now reaping the rewards of deep hall mining, God Bunker had everything for them to litterally rebuild from the ground up.

Crestmore - Malverdian Coastal Town

One of the few testaments to the glory days of the empire were the simple coastal farming and fishing communities, laden with Malverdian soldiers and training militia, these towns generally kept in contact with re-used army radios and telephones.

Solomon - Herod's Landing

Herod wasn't stupid, he knew it would soon be his head on the chopping block, as such, he ordered his forces quickly to disperse in an effort to survive utilizing the tactics of guerrilla warfare. His men took the jungles, settling their long dispute with the Zehntek tribes, who were relatively quick to accept them as part of society, and also to share tactics and traps on how to secure their land from a far more advanced foe, the tribes had interpreted the earthquake as a sign of worse things to come, and they were certainly not wrong.

Solomon - Ancient Taldovia

The Tal'Dovian people were not at all amused or impressed by USA actions, and proclaimed that any citizen seen helping the US must immediately be executed, as the Tal'Dovian people were the only collaborative nation to have once owned the whole planet before the great disarmament they took American actions as nothing but hostilities, and established their own news network in and send distress signals to other nations about the growing concern from America.

Solomon - Foxrose

In recent months Foxrose had become increasingly concerned about the wars with neighboring factions and the activity, along with alarming monitoring from outposts and from their interstellar telescopes, their men had set about digging tunnels and deep underground living areas for an alarming turn of events which stood effectively at Kotunga's doorstep.

Solomon - Ocean

Unfortunately, for the US, the placement of the tectonic structural monitoring platforms, Tal-Dovian in origin, were not oil rigs, the indication of oil in that region was a dismal logistical failure and a waste of resources, however the lack of 4 hour reports on the platforms were a clear indication to Tal-Dovian's that something had happened and something was wrong.

The small quakes were all but a tad of what was stirring in the South-West sea, anyone would immediately realize that a dangerously large Tsunami was heading straight for Mainland Kotunga.

Kotunga - Wolvay

After the people somehow vanished, Wolvay became a safe haven for many Kotungans, it instilled many ideals, and it was seen as "Free Kotunga" everyone knew that Wolvay had nothing of value, it looked miserable, it had coal mines, and it had farming, but in the Kotungan's eyes, it was free.

// Wolvay is still home to the Peoples outpost, disregard Andy's latest post everyone.

El Manar.

As the information came in about the Tsunami, broadcasters set about starting evacuation announcements. People were urged to head to their nearest Coalition checkpoint for evacuation to camps being set up in the higher ground, the same broadcasts being sent to the port towns, urging people to do the same. Inbetween real-time announcements and the evacuation plans, quick tips were read out on medical aid, finding food and avoiding the dangers that came with a Tsunami. In a very smart move from the Propaganda office, they would take advantage of the cruise missile test that landed outside the badlands center. A message in-between the emergency broadcasts would be read out.

"It has been confirmed by the intelligence bureau and multiple other sources, that the missile that landed near the Badlands, was Liberal Freedom Fighter in origin. The launching system has been captured but the operators were nowhere to be found.".

Seeing as the launcher used for the missile was mobile, the camp was gone in the night on the Propaganda offices request, Type 2's flocked the scene of the missile and collected all the parts quickly as well, giving their back-story to the inhabitants and false parts labelled with the Liberal Fighters would be placed down. Pinning the blame entirely on the fighters, with no one except the C.C.T. the wiser.

Utay - Rica.

With the almost immediate tracking and then jamming of the signal, a team of Gestapo Sturmtruppen would enter the jungle under the cloak of night, as the two villages once belonging to the Free Liberal Fighters and the Liberal Free Fighters were found, the next goal would be to observe for any transmission equipment. If it was presented, in the open and high up like transmission equipment would have to be, it would be marked and then pummeled by artillery fire.

Almonia.

The C.C.T was starting to grab all essentially resources as their deadline closed until the next phase of the operation for Kotunga started. Assisted by aircraft and armor, the mines would be charged and their stockpiles seized, any civilians in the area, who would be insane considering the fighting for the region prior the C.C.T. intervention, would be payed off with ludicrous amounts of Coalition credits. However anyone stupid to fight to defend the mines would simply fall to the superior firepower.

Post by autist supreme Mon May 20, 2013 9:40 am

The small tremor from earlier on in the day had returned with force, a huge earthquake struck a large part of Kotunga, including El Manar. the city just leveled, the poorly designed, tall structured buildings simply caved in and killed thousands of people, one apartment complex fell on the wall and simply crushed it, causing many families to run to the hole in an attempt to be united.

Parts of the island of Wolvay could be seen breaking off the island, but the worst and most horrifying activity would be the huge tectonic activity of South-Western Kotunga, A quake that would read 9.2 on the richter scale, should anyone choose to still use such measurements, would be seen emmiting from the plates, and the formation of huge, huge waves, heading straight for mainland Kotunga. As if that wasn't bad enough, the death toll was already at 192,000

The emergency broadcasts would go down for a moment, then coming back on with a new full-time message. It urged all civilians to head to F.O.B. Deity, where both the large troop ferries and the nimbler Type 2's would be sitting on the tarmac, landing and taking off as military personnel were relocated off-planet. Computers and anything with a memory drive were destroyed, it was all own a cloud with the Frigate anyway. People were being herded into the third Supply Barge, the jeeps and trucks were being left behind in the airport. King Lynxes were being ferried up, they were too advanced to lose. The lack of jeeps and trucks, the empty troop barracks meant the waiting craft could carry a good 20,000 people, and with soldiers being diverted to the armed Frigates, Cruisers and Battleships. Giving them a good space for 70,000 refugees over the three ships, it wouldn't be comfortable of course. The ships would be packed to their utter limits, once that limit was filled, the rest of the Type 2's would transfer them into the mountains, leaving behind survival kits and heaters which worked on solar power. It was temporary and the refugee's were reminded of it the entire time.

The C.C.T. would communicate with the U.S.C. offering two Type 2 drop ships to assist them, in a attempt to come across as more friendly and diplomatic.

In the streets there would be mass hysteria, worse still, a lot of people were only making the commotion worse by holding up signs saying "THE END IS NEAR" in the panic and evacuation, Kotunga was back, street shootings, executions, the people were running wild and ducking for cover, the rest of the people ran for cover and went along with the CCT to hide away in their ships.

In the badlands there was a great exodus, to the mountains, little did they know, the biggest war Kotunga had ever seen was about to occur.

The highlands of the Helious Coast, which were being fiercely defended from the CCT assault by trained Kotungan military personel, knew the value of their position and the mountainous northern provinces were amassing a collection of armies.

Helious Coast.

The attack had been bogged down to the outskirts of the trench line, even if the Kotungan army was vastly insuperior and nowhere near the trained level of the Coalition, they still had two advantages over the Coalition. First they were dug in, the trenches and pillboxes providing the Kotungans with good means to defend with. And second, the experimental Type 112's which had engines incapable of pushing the to it's desired speed in the harsh no-mans terrain, meaning it would only now catch up to the rest of the assault and allow it's heavy gun to come to bear but it would be fruitless, as before they knew it, mortar shells carrying smoke would land in between the C.C.T and the defenders, it was the retreat from the planet, saving the defenders from death at the hands of the Coalition atleast. The troops and tanks would fall back, slowly moving backwards towards the waiting LZ. Airstrikes on the trench line intensifying to cover them.

Orbit.

[i]Once the amount of flights the Type 2's were allowed to fly was filled, they'd take off and go straight back into orbit. Joining the rest of the fleet. The armed frigates would wait in orbit, anyone above the rank of Captain was accounted for, except those lost in battle. And the resource grab the Coalition made before the land was wiped over was effective, each barge carrying a good amount of ores and other resources. The barges would leave soon enough, jumping back to Leonis with the refugees and the stolen Kotungan wealth.

But a measly flooding wouldn't stop the Coalition, now the infrastructure was gone there wasn't a populace to impress, just resource rich areas to reclaim and hold as bastions as whatever they wanted was ripped from the Kotungan hands, but that was too come. In the mean time the Coalition would hail the U.S.C. to see how they had fared through all this.
